Soccer Recap: Stockdale Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stockdale can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Clovis West Golden Eagles on Saturday. If the Mustangs were looking for revenge after losing 1-0 to them when the teams met back in February of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Stockdale's defeat dropped their record down to 17-6. As for Clovis West, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Stockdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clovis West, they will challenge San Luis Obispo on Wednesday. Clovis West's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so San Luis Obispo's offense will have their work cut out for them.
