Soccer Game Preview: Putnam County vs. Prince Avenue Christian

The Putnam County War Eagles will face off against the Prince Avenue Christian Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Prince Avenue Christian took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Putnam County, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Putnam County beat Oglethorpe County 5-3. The win continues a trend for Putnam County in their matchups with Oglethorpe County: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, Prince Avenue Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 6-0 to Lake Oconee Academy. The contest was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Prince Avenue Christian it sure didn't stay that way.

Putnam County's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three games. As for Prince Avenue Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-11.
