Volleyball Recap: Bostonia Global Comes Up Short

Bostonia Global was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Cristo Rey. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Cristo Rey this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on April 2nd.

Bostonia Global took Cristo Rey into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-23, 25-17, 22-25, 20-18.

Bostonia Global's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Cristo Rey, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Bostonia Global will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on King-Chavez Community at 4:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Cristo Rey, they will venture away from home to square off against High Tech NC at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
