Softball Recap: Moss Triumphs

While Moss's win against New Lima wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Falcons on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pirates have posted since August 19th.

Moss pushed their record up to 7-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for New Lima, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Moss has already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against Strother on the 6th. As for New Lima, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-3 defeat against Wetumka on the 8th.
