After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Central, Rochester was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Whitko Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Zebras in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won six in a row.

Rochester's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brant Beck, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Linden Wilburn was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Rochester kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Rochester's win bumped their record up to 11-15. As for Whitko, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.

Rochester will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Lewis Cass at 5:30 p.m. As for Whitko, they will square off against Peru at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season.
