Soccer Game Preview: Indianola vs. Norwalk

Indianola is 0-8 against Norwalk since March of 2016 but things could change on Monday. The Indians will face off against the Warriors. Indianola will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Indianola can't be too worried about heading out to take on Norwalk: they just beat Denison-Schleswig at home, who had been dominant on their own pitch up to that point. The Indians walked away with a 3-1 win over the Monarchs on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Norwalk kept a clean sheet against Baxter on Thursday. They came out on top against Baxter by a score of 2-0. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Norwalk's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Baxter are ranked 89th).

Indianola pushed their record up to 14-8-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Norwalk, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-10-2 record this season.
