Softball Recap: Sumter County Comes Up Short

Columbus hit Sumter County with a seven-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, with their most recent loss being a 9-1 defeat on September 11th.

This is the second loss in a row for Sumter County and nudges their season record down to 8-9. As for Columbus, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13.
