Softball Recap: Lanier Wins Going Away Against Norcross

Lanier barely beat Norcross the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Longhorns blew past the Blue Devils 14-4 on Saturday. The Longhorns have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Sanai Hampton was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Sophia Roche, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Lanier's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Norcross, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Lanier will venture away from home to take on Grayson at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Norcross, they will welcome Forsyth Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
