Softball Recap: George-Little Rock Takes a Loss

George-Little Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Sioux Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-3 last Wednesday.

George-Little Rock's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for West Sioux, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9 record this season.

George-Little Rock will square off against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Sioux, they will challenge Akron-Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Westerners will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
