Recap: Orcutt Academy Spartans vs. St. Joseph Knights
The Orcutt Academy Spartans lost against the St. Joseph Knights back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Orcutt Academy was outmatched by St. Joseph on the road and fell 75-27. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Orcutt Academy has scored all season.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaylene Roybal, who scored five points. Elizabeth Johnson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with eight rebounds.
Orcutt Academy now has a losing record at 8-9. As for St. Joseph, their victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Arroyo Grande the next time they take the court. St. Joseph will head out to face Arroyo Grande at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, while Orcutt Academy will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
