Basketball Recap: Daisy Pantoja Beltran's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Aragon over Menlo-Atherton

Aragon came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Menlo-Atherton Bears, falling 76-53. The Dons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.

Aragon's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Daisy Pantoja Beltran, who posted eight points. Sienna Shehadeh was another key player, putting up seven points.

Aragon's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Menlo-Atherton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Aragon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Menlo-Atherton, they will venture away from home to challenge Half Moon Bay at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
