Basketball Recap: Ryan Nair Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Inderkum

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Woodcreek ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They secured a 50-45 W over the Inderkum Tigers. The Timberwolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

Woodcreek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ryan Nair led the charge by putting up 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Nair has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 26 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Chloe Preuss, who posted eight points and nine boards.

Woodcreek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Inderkum's loss came despite strong showings from Jamiah Fontenberry and Aniyah Bruhn. Fontenberry had 13 points, while Bruhn earned ten points.

Woodcreek's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-9. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points per game. As for Inderkum, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-6.

Woodcreek has already played their next game, a 71-21 victory against Bella Vista on the 17th. As for Inderkum, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 80-13 win against Rio Americano on the 17th.
