Football Game Preview: Palm Beach Central Broncos vs. Vanguard Knights + Official Tickets

Two dominant signal callers in Chance Routson and Terrance Lewis are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Palm Beach Central Broncos will take on the Vanguard Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Friday, Palm Beach Central was fully in charge, breezing past Palm Beach Lakes 45-6. The matchup marked the Broncos' most dominant win of the season.

Andrew Ulysse went supernova, rushing for 157 yards and two scores on only 13 carries. Those two rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Palm Beach Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 384 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 87 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five games they've averaged 190.3.

Palm Beach Central didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cameron Dwyer and David Harmon.

Meanwhile, Vanguard waltzed into their contest last Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 48-7 victory over the Colts. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Knights' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Colts are ranked 308th).

Palm Beach Central better keep an eye on Sergarion Gunsby. He was instrumental in Vanguard's win, rushing for 61 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries.

Palm Beach Central's record is now 3-4. As for Vanguard, their record now sits at 6-1.
