Softball Recap: Dougherty Falls to Terrell Academy in First Game of Season

Dougherty kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 21-2 to the Terrell Academy Eagles.

Dariona Simmons was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and two runs.

The victory got Terrell Academy back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Dougherty will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Atkinson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Terrell Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Citizens Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
