Putnam County lost to Jasper County on Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The War Eagles skirted past the Hurricanes 7-6.

Putnam County got a massive performance out of Branan Griffin, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Griffin has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jackson Dodd, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Putnam County's victory bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Jasper County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-11 record.

Coming up, Putnam County will challenge Jackson at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The War Eagles are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on a five-game losing streak. Jasper County will be paying especially close attention to Putnam County's contest: after Putnam County faces off against Jackson, they'll take on Jasper County again at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
