Orange Glen has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Maranatha Christian Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Orange Glen won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 58-29 loss at the hands of Escondido Charter. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Orange Glen in their matchups with Escondido Charter: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, Maranatha Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 59-41 bruising from Santa Fe Christian.
Orange Glen has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. As for Maranatha Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.
Orange Glen took their win against Maranatha Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 51-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orange Glen since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
