Basketball Recap: St. Bonaventure Falls Short of Burroughs in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Bonaventure can now relate to. They fell to the Burroughs Burros 54-49.

Jhavmine Ave was her usual excellent self, putting up 17 points in addition to five boards and four steals for Burroughs. The game was Ave's 12th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Serenity Haleman, who went 5-for-9 en route to 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

St. Bonaventure's loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Burroughs, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 16-8 record this season.

St. Bonaventure does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burroughs, they will square off against Great Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
