Baseball Recap: Hampton Takes a Loss

If Hampton was feeling good fresh off their 16-6 takedown of Eagle's Landing on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hornets fell just short of the Luella Lions by a score of 10-8 on Friday. The Hornets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Hampton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cole Moody, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Another was Corbin Allen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Hampton's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Luella, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Hampton nor Luella have any future games scheduled.
