Football Game Preview: West Islip Lions vs. Wyandanch Warriors

The West Islip Lions will head out to square off against the Wyandanch Warriors at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Islip has three straight victories, Wyandanch has eight straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

West Islip gave up the first points on Saturday, but they didn't give up any more after. They skirted past East Hampton-Bridgehampton-Pierson 31-28. West Islip's win was all the more impressive since the Bonackers were averaging only 13.83 points allowed on the season.

Meanwhile, Wyandanch fell victim to Comsewogue and their airtight defense on Saturday. They were beaten by Comsewogue 35-0.

West Islip's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Wyandanch, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
