Football Recap: Crescent City Takes a Loss

Crescent City lost against North Marion back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Raiders came up short against the Colts, falling 33-7. The Raiders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-7.

Even if they lost, Crescent City's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jeremiah Odum, Amarion Keenon, and Jahmaad Strong, who each picked up one sack apiece. Crescent City got some further help from Odum: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Crescent City's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for North Marion, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Crescent City and North Marion could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Raiders will face off against New Smyrna Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (413 vs. 176). Meanwhile, North Marion (ranked 307th) will meet Williston (ranked 109th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
