Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marion). They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Independence Mustangs on Tuesday. Considering Marion have won eight contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Marion's third in a row) raised their record to 11-2-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those three games. As for Independence, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17-1 record this season.

Marion will venture away from home to square off against Pleasant Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Pleasant Valley's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Marion's offense will have their work cut out for them. Independence does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
