Preview: Citrus Hill Hawks vs. San Jacinto Tigers
Citrus Hill has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the San Jacinto Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Citrus Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1288th, while San Jacinto is ranked 299th).
Citrus Hill suffered their biggest loss since November 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 54-22 loss at the hands of Tahquitz.
Meanwhile, San Jacinto put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They breezed by Liberty on the road to the tune of 74-19. The win was nothing new for San Jacinto as they're now sitting on four straight.
Keyera Cameron continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 20 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Luv'lee Sadler, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds.
Citrus Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for San Jacinto, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-8.
Citrus Hill was taken down by San Jacinto 72-7 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Citrus Hill was down 40-6.
