Basketball Recap: Forest Hills Comes Up Short

Forest Hills was the 46-44 winner over Hollidaysburg when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The game between the Forest Hills Rangers and the Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers didn't end well, with the Forest Hills Rangers falling 58-41. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Golden Tigers are ranked 50th).

Despite the loss, Forest Hills still got an impressive performance from Aivah Maul, who went 6 of 15 on her way to 18 points and five boards. The matchup was Maul's third in a row with at least ten points. Danika Faith also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Forest Hills dropped their record down to 5-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hollidaysburg, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Forest Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 74-66 defeat against Bishop Carroll on the 8th. Hollidaysburg has also already played their next game, a 77-38 win against Penns Valley Area on the 6th.
