Baseball Recap: Mount View Comes Up Short

Mount View made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Maranacook, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs fell just short of the Black Bears by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that the Mustangs have lost by exactly two runs.

Abel Grassi was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases. Another player making a difference was Brady Bryant, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Mount View now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Maranacook, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Mount View didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-0 win against Waterville on the 13th. Hopefully Maranacook paid attention to the Mustangs' contest: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
