While Northside didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 16-1 margin over the Jonesboro Cardinals on Tuesday. That looming 16-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Patriots yet this season.

Cayden Clay was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Wells, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Northside always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Northside is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. Jonesboro's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-7.

Northside will have a chance to go back-to-back against Jonesboro: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
