Wilber-Clatonia hasn't had much luck against Fairbury recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Wolverines will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jeffs at 6:30 p.m. Wilber-Clatonia will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
If Wilber-Clatonia beats Fairbury with eight runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. The Wolverines came out on top against Syracuse by a score of 8-5 on Tuesday.

Kariss Rosenthal made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Peyton Mischnick, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Korrina Paulsen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
Highway 6 hit Fairbury with a six-run second inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Jeffs came up short against the Trailblazers, falling 14-6.
Fairbury saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrie Hynek, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. Another was Jordin Gill, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.
Fairbury's loss dropped their record down to 6-18. As for Wilber-Clatonia, their victory bumped their record up to 14-11.
