McGregor's Andrew Demenge rumbled for the longest rushing play in Great Northern (9 Man) this season in his game against Isle last week. Demenge's team defeated the Huskies as he sprinted for 69 yards on the play and finished with 170 in all.
Onamia extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Hill City, 42-12. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Cromwell's dynamic duo of Jared Hutar and Josh Oliver proved tough for Northland to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Hutar threw for 79 yards and one touchdown and Oliver had 61 yards receiving. Zach Kinstel helped Cromwell's passing attack out by catching two balls for 11 yards.
The Cardinals' Hutar and Oliver have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Hutar has thrown for 280 yards this season, while Oliver has six catches for 142 yards. McGregor's Demenge leads the league in rushing yards with 396.
A big matchup in Great Northern (9 Man) this week will be when Onamia takes on Floodwood. As it stands, Kevin Armbrust's team is in first, while the Polar Bears are in fifth.
There should be lots of points scored when Cromwell and Bob Staska's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Jeff Gronner's team comes in having scored 111 this season, while the Mercuries have scored 100. The Cardinals scored 42 points last week as they beat the Eagles.
McGregor was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from ninth to fourth in the league. The Mercuries vanquished Isle 30-28 earlier in the week.
