Basketball Recap: Northwood's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Northwood can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 39-31 victory over the University Trojans. This was a revenge game for the Timberwolves: when they faced off against the Trojans two weeks ago, they had to take a 44-41 loss.

Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Asha Highsmith, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Christine Lin, who earned six points.

Northwood's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-19. As for University, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwood will welcome Laguna Beach at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Northwood: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Laguna Beach has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
