Softball Recap: Hannibal Takes a Loss

Hannibal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Centralia Panthers, falling 16-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pirates of the 12-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Hannibal's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Centralia, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Coincidentally, Hannibal and Centralia will both be playing Kirksville the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Tigers at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday, while the Pirates will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
