Soccer Game Preview: Sandy Creek vs. LaGrange

Sandy Creek is 0-4 against LaGrange since March of 2017 but things could change on Thursday. The Sandy Creek Patriots will head out on the road to square off against the LaGrange Grangers at 8:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sandy Creek is headed into Thursday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Troup County.

Meanwhile, LaGrange kept a clean sheet against Trinity Christian on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Lions. Aidan Collins had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Grangers.

LaGrange's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for Sandy Creek, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4-1.
