Volleyball Recap: Lake Station Edison Wins Going Away Against 21st Century Charter

Lake Station Edison won the last time they faced 21st Century Charter and things went their way on Thursday too. The Fighting Eagles put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Eagles.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lake Station Edison took every set by at least 19 points. The final score came out to 25-4, 25-2, 25-6.

Alexis Vaughan paced Lake Station Edison's offense, picking up three kills. Vaughan got some help from Lillian Kroledge and her four assists. Kroledge was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 14 aces.

Lake Station Edison's win bumped their record up to 5-17. As for 21st Century Charter, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Coincidentally, Lake Station Edison and 21st Century Charter will both be playing Tri-Township the next time they take the court. The Fighting Eagles will host the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Cougars will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
