Soccer Game Preview: Galt vs. Rosemont

Galt has won four straight games at home, while Rosemont has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Galt Warriors will welcome the Rosemont Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. Both are at an even 4-4-2 against one another since February of 2020, but likely not for long.

Galt's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Union Mine as Galt made off with a 6-0 victory. It was an even better day for Bayley Miller as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Rosemont's game on Friday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Bradshaw Christian by a score of 2-0. That's two games straight that the Wolverines have won by exactly two goals.

Rosemont used a slightly different lineup for their bout with Bradshaw Christian. Ellona Ivanina played for 70 minutes having averaged 34.4 this season and Taaliyah Brown got 70 vs. an average of 46.8. The pair took full advantage of the opportunity: Ivanina scored a goal and one assist, while she scored a goal.

Galt is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those seven contests. As for Rosemont, their win bumped their record up to 9-6-2.

Galt beat Rosemont by a goal in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 1-0. Will Galt repeat their success, or does Rosemont have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
