Basketball Recap: Terra Nova's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Terra Nova was the 40-38 winner over El Camino when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Terra Nova Tigers took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Camino Colts.

Despite the loss, Terra Nova had strong showings from Reese Kelley, who posted nine points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals, and Gabby Dyogi, who had 14 points and six boards. Kelley has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Lilyanna Carpenter was another key player, putting up a point and 15 rebounds.

Terra Nova's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6. As for El Camino, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Terra Nova didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-30 victory against Crystal Springs Uplands on the 20th. As for El Camino, they will head out to challenge San Mateo at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. San Mateo will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something El Camino surely won't give up without a fight.
