Softball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Blue River, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Broncos fell just short of Blue River by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Broncos have suffered since October 3, 2024.

Centennial saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paityn Scheele, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Centennial has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season. As for Blue River, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-7.

Coincidentally, Centennial and Blue River will both be playing Fairbury the next time they take the field. Blue River will head out to face the Jeffs at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, while the Broncos will play them later in the day, at 1:15 p.m.
