Soccer Game Preview: Northwood vs. Laguna Beach

The Northwood Timberwolves will head out on the road to take on the Laguna Beach Breakers at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Northwood's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for seven straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Northwood fell victim to Rosary Academy and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Royals. That's two games in a row now that the Timberwolves have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, Laguna Beach also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 4-0 to Rosary Academy on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Breakers in their matchups with the Royals: they've now lost five in a row.

Northwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-1. As for Laguna Beach, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 9-5-1.
