Soccer Recap: Mainland Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mainland can now relate to. They lost 8-0 to the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas on Friday. The Buccaneers have struggled against the Barracudas recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Mainland's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for New Smyrna Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3-2 record this season.

Mainland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Smyrna Beach, they will take on Seabreeze at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. New Smyrna Beach is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
