Baseball Recap: Washington-Wilkes Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Washington-Wilkes can now relate to. They lost 10-0 to the Lanier County Bulldogs on Wednesday. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Washington-Wilkes' defeat dropped their record down to 10-22. As for Lanier County, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 25-5.

Washington-Wilkes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lanier County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-3 win against Seminole County on the 29th.
