Basketball Recap: Seton Lasalle's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Seton LaSalle waltzed into their match on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 58-50 win over the Washington Prexies. Given the Rebels' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Prexies are ranked 486th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Washington lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Olivia Woods, who posted 22 points and five rebounds. The game was Woods' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyndra Wynn, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Seton LaSalle's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Washington, they moved to 7-11 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Seton LaSalle will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on February 10th. As for Washington, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 46-40 defeat against McGuffey on the 3rd.
