South Anchorage is 7-0-2 against Wasilla since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wolverines will challenge the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. South Anchorage knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Wasilla likes a good challenge.

South Anchorage is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over Dimond. South Anchorage's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last seven contests.

Meanwhile, Wasilla faced Chugiak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Mustangs 2-1. That's two games straight that Wasilla have won by just one goal.

Lainey Kroon and Makenna Hanson scored both of Wasilla's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

The win made it two in a row for Wasilla and bumps their season record up to 12-4-3. As for South Anchorage, their victory bumped their record up to 19-0.

South Anchorage got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Wasilla by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
