Softball Recap: Mercy Comes Up Short

Mercy fell victim to Ralston and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Rams, falling 10-0. The Monarchs haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Mercy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Ralston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Mercy will head out on the road to challenge Omaha Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Monarchs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season. As for Ralston, they will be playing at home against Wahoo at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
