Basketball Recap: Littlerock Comes Up Short

Littlerock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Highland Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Lobos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1073rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 297th).

Littlerock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Highland, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Littlerock will take on Lancaster at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland has already played their next game (against Eastside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
