Verdugo Hills is 8-1 against Poly since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Verdugo Hills Dons will venture away from home to take on the Poly Parrots at 4:00 p.m. Poly took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Verdugo Hills, who comes in off a win.

Verdugo Hills is headed into the matchup having not lost since January 6 and will look to keep things rolling. They had just enough and edged Arleta out 1-0 on Wednesday. The Dons' winning goal came courtesy of Amy Valdez.

Meanwhile, Poly was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Monroe. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Parrots couldn't quite close it out.

Verdugo Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those ten matchups. As for Poly, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Everything went Verdugo Hills' way against Poly when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Verdugo Hills made off with a 4-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Verdugo Hills since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
