Football Recap: East Newton Patriots vs. Aurora Houn Dawgs
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monett, East Newton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Aurora Houn Dawgs as they made off with a 47-21 victory. The Patriots' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Caden Youngblood continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 245 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt, and also catching one TD. What's more, he posted five receiving yards, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Virgil Rosiere was another key pass catcher, picking up 105 receiving yards and one score.
