Softball Recap: Riverview Gardens Gets the Win

Riverview Gardens's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 12-10 victory over the Normandy Vikings. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Lawren Powell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Kamyra Mitchell, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases and two RBI.

Riverview Gardens always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .618. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
