Soccer Recap: Banks County Comes Up Short

Banks County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Towns County Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Towns County this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in February.

Banks County's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Towns County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Banks County will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on White County at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th. White County's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Towns County, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, an 8-0 victory against Treutlen on the 8th.
