Basketball Game Preview: Casa Roble Rams vs. Sutter Huskies

The Casa Roble Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Sutter Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Casa Roble is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Casa Roble is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Dixon on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Casa Roble lost 49-24 to Dixon. The game marked Casa Roble's lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Despite their defeat, Casa Roble saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Lydia Chechourka-Price, who posted four points, was perhaps the best of all. Paisley Canady was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Sutter won against Destiny Christian Academy on Tuesday with 51 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Sutter secured a 51-46 W over Natomas. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Huskies.

Casa Roble better keep an eye on Torrence Harter. She was instrumental in Sutter's win, dropping a triple-double on 19 points, 18 rebounds, and ten blocks. Harter has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 50 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Alaina Davis, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Sutter pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Casa Roble, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.

Things could have been worse for Casa Roble, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-38 loss to Sutter in their previous meeting on January 3rd. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Harter, who went 8 for 12 on her way to 17 points along with 19 rebounds and 15 blocks.
