Softball Recap: Montezuma-Cortez Comes Up Short

Montezuma-Cortez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Resurrection Christian Cougars.

Chelsey Kramer was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Tori Lopez, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

Montezuma-Cortez's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Resurrection Christian, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Montezuma-Cortez wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-5 loss against Durango on the 9th. As for Resurrection Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-14 defeat against Strasburg on the 9th.
