Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Great Oak). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Murrieta Valley Nighthawks 74-41. Winning may never get old, but the Wolfpack sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Great Oak had a senior duo take command as Morgan Grayton went 9 of 14 on her way to 24 points and five assists and Brianna Thomas posted 14 points and seven boards. Those 24 points gave Grayton a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Keira Stout, who went 6 for 9 en route to 13 points.

Great Oak was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.

When it comes to explaining why Murrieta Valley lost, don't look at Valerie Lauritzen. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points. That was a full 48.8% of Murrieta Valley's points, marking the ninth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Haley Farrell, who earned six points.

Great Oak pushed their record up to 8-12 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Murrieta Valley, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-10.
