Volleyball Recap: Old Lyme Victorious

Old Lyme won the last time they faced Coginchaug Regional and things went their way on Thursday too. The Wildcats came out on top against the Blue Devils by a score of 3-1.

Old Lyme had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-15, 25-14, 25-17.

Maya LeQuire paced Old Lyme's offense, picking up 22 kills. LeQuire were helped by Maya Desai and Kaylyn Vernon, who contributed 11 assists each. LeQuire also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addison Spooner, each putting up six.

The victory got Old Lyme back to even at 5-5. As for Coginchaug Regional, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
