Basketball Recap: Preuss UCSD's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Preuss UCSD came into Tuesday's matchup having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 29-20 win over the Guajome Park Academy Frogs on Tuesday. The Tritons' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Preuss UCSD found their leader in sophomore Rediet Neme, who posted 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Neme has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Afi Torgby, who earned five points.

Preuss UCSD's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Guajome Park Academy, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Preuss UCSD will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against The Cambridge School at 4:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Guajome Park Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Maranatha Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
